Licensing

ArenaDirector uses a subscription license tied to your account. On first launch, the License Manager window appears and walks you through signing in before the main interface opens. You only need to do this once per machine.

ArenaDirector also has a free version with a reduced feature set. If you do not have a subscription, you can skip sign-in and continue with the free version instead.

Activate your license

  1. Launch ArenaDirector. The License Manager window opens automatically.
  2. The Sign In form is shown. Enter your email address in the Email field and your password in the Password field.
  3. Select Sign In.
  4. If your account has more than one subscription, the Select Subscription screen appears. Select the subscription you want to use on this machine, then select Activate Selected Subscription.
  5. The License Active screen confirms activation. The main interface opens automatically.

If you do not have a subscription, select Continue with the free version on the sign-in screen, or visit arenadirector.com to subscribe.

Manage your subscription

After activation, you can review your subscription details at any time.

  1. Select Help → License. The License Manager window opens.
  2. The status screen shows your Plan, Expires date, Account, and Device ID.

If you need to move your license to a different machine, select Unassign License on this screen. You will be asked to confirm, and you will need to sign in again on the new machine.

Check your license status

The License Manager (via Help → License) always shows your current status at a glance:

Status shownWhat it means
License ActiveYour subscription is valid and verified.
License Validation RequiredArenaDirector could not reach the licensing service recently and is in a grace period (see below).
No Valid LicenseNo active subscription is found for this device.

If your license can't be verified

ArenaDirector does not stop working the moment it loses network access. If it cannot contact the licensing service temporarily — for example during a venue event with no internet — it enters a grace period and continues to run normally. The License Manager shows how many days remain in that period.

When the connection is restored, ArenaDirector verifies your subscription in the background and the status returns to License Active on its own. There is nothing you need to do.

If the grace period runs out before connectivity is restored, ArenaDirector will prompt you to sign in again once a connection is available. No configuration or show data is affected.

For persistent activation problems, see Troubleshooting.
