| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Canvas | A video destination you create in ArenaDirector. A canvas has a resolution and can be shown on one or more displays. (The current build still labels this Output on screen.) |
| Cue | A moment you trigger to make something play. In ArenaDirector you mostly work with slots. |
| Display | A physical screen connected to your computer — a TV, projector, or monitor. A canvas is shown on a display. |
| Layer | A group of related slots, so a full event is organized and easy to navigate while you're live. |
| Mixer | An audio destination. A mixer sends sound to a specific set of speakers — the main PA, monitors, or a zone — so different slots can play to different places. |
| Pipeline | The behind-the-scenes chain that plays your media. Most users never change it. |
| Show | A saved background program — walk-in music, a sponsor loop, a half-time program — that plays automatically while you fire slots on top of it. |
| Slot | A reusable playback cue: one button on the grid that plays your chosen audio or video to the mixers and canvases you pick. |
| Source | The media inside a slot — an audio file, a video file, or another input. |
| Venue mode | When a canvas goes fullscreen on its assigned display during an event. |
