Layers
A layer is a page of slots. Layers group related slots together so you can find the right button fast while the event is live — for example, one layer for goal moments and another for sponsor breaks. For a plain-language overview see Core concepts.
Create a layer
The number of layers is set in the Slots pane of the Configuration window:
- Open the Configuration window (the gear icon) and select Slots.
- Under Main Configuration, increase Layer Count to the number of layers you want.
- The slot grid immediately shows the new layers as additional pages.
Each new layer starts with empty slots ready to configure. Add content to them by following the steps in Slots.
Organize slots into layers
You name and reorder your layers in the Layers pane (the Layer Setup section):
- Open the Configuration window and select Layers.
- Under Layer Setup, each row is a layer. The checkbox on the left controls whether that layer is visible in the slot grid — uncheck it to hide a layer without deleting its slots.
- Select the name field on a layer row and type a new name (for example, "Goals", "Sponsors", or "Half-Time"). Press Enter or click away to save.
- Use the up and down arrow buttons on the right of each row to change the order layers appear in the slot grid. The change takes effect immediately.
Reset the layer order
If you have rearranged your layers and want to return them to their original sequence, open the Layers pane and select Reset Layer Order. A confirmation dialog appears before the change is applied.
Resetting the layer order moves all layers back to their original sequence. Any custom ordering you have set up will be lost.
